From the ink-pen diaries:-

A post, typed out straight from the ink-pen laden words embedded in my favorite, rustic looking diary made of recycled paper, bound by material that resembles a shiny denim, with blue and beige stitches on its left-hand corner:-

Here’s the unabridged version: Raw, and Unedited:-

2-12-2013:-

It has been raining for the past few weeks and so is it today. I know not what makes today’s rain so distinct and special. Perhaps it is the all pervading darkness caused by the overcast sky...plus the beginning of the two-hour daily powercut in Chennai, that is contributing to the lovely black beauty. The atmosphere is so marvelously set that I even forget the fact that it is a Monday today. Beating the Monday blues with grey-black tones! An insightful and introspective way of beginning a week...

A strong cup of filter coffee, adding to the magnitude of thoughts. Suddenly, filter coffee, something that I make daily, tastes better than any other day.The darkness of the concoction was just perfect today. Not too dark, yet not too light either. An amicable blend of milk, ‘decoction ‘ and sugar, poured into a stainless steel cup & saucer. To see its steam take flight into the ceiling of my hall, is heart-rendering. No lights on, just the dim light of the day trying to peep through the crevices of the thick clouds. Abound by some rainy chillness, not something that runs a chill down your spine, just the right temperature control done by Nature. I don’t really mind the occasional bites of the mosquitoes on my newly, waxed, capris laden legs, for I am enjoying, sipping on my drink of mirth; feeling the warmth emanating through the surface of the stainless steel cup...

Done with the “ellipses” post the words: steel cup, and the power is back! Quite weird, for a stringent two-hour power cut to have shrunk to 45 minutes!
